Kam Malone serves as a dedicated group facilitator at Red Top Wellness Center, where he leads Musical Expression groups. Kam is also a certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor and Sound Healing Specialist, bringing a unique blend of therapeutic modalities to the wellness community.
Born in Jackson, MI, and raised in Kennesaw, GA, Kam pursued higher education at Georgia State University, earning a Master of Music (MM) in 2001 and an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Teaching and Learning in 2010. Kam has further enhanced his expertise with a 200-hour RYS yoga certification, along with specialized training in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Sound Therapy.
Kam chose to work at Red Top Wellness Center as a retirement career due to a personal connection with mental health issues. Having grown up playing during visitation hours on the common room floors of several inpatient facilities where his family members received care, Kam found a family setting in Red Top Wellness Center.
For Kam, the most rewarding aspect of working at Red Top Wellness Center is witnessing the steady recovery of clients. Seeing vacant eyes regain brightness as mind and body find balance through therapy, medication adjustments, and compassionate care is a continual source of fulfillment.
In his leisure time, Kam enjoys painting with acrylics, mowing the lawn, and achieving his daily step count. He has a particular fondness for the color green, straight lines, and the satisfaction of a well-maintained yard.
