Our Commitment to the Information We Publish
At Red Top Wellness Center, one of our core values is that mental health treatment should be easily accessible. That extends to information about mental health conditions, treatment options, and other related topics, which is why we publish content on the Red Top Wellness Center website.
The goal of this content is to explain mental health topics clearly for people who are experiencing mental health challenges themselves or researching on behalf of someone they love. We created this policy to offer transparency around the information we publish, so you understand exactly where it comes from.
Content Authorship
Our content is written in-house by one of our own team members. We include a byline at the top of our blog content, so you can get to know the author more. In most cases, information on the website is written by content professionals with backgrounds in communication and the healthcare industry.
Our writers are responsible for researching a topic, finding and verifying sources, and writing the article in plain language. They do not diagnose, recommend treatment, or interpret research on their own. When a question requires clinical judgment, they bring it to a member of our clinical team before the article is written.
Once an article is written, a member of our clinical team reviews it for accuracy.
Content’s Clinical Review
Our clinical reviewers are licensed clinicians who work at Red Top Wellness Center. When a reviewer’s name appears on an article, it means that clinician read the article and confirmed that its clinical information was accurate and consistent with accepted practice as of the review date.
Clinical review covers the clinical content of an article at the time it’s written. This review does not cover semantic phrasing, grammaticality, and other linguistic choices we make in our content. It is not an endorsement of the outside sources an article links to.
A clinician’s review does not mean that they have evaluated your situation or that they are giving you medical advice. Reading our content, or writing to us about it, does not create a provider-patient relationship between you and Red Top Wellness Center or any member of our clinical team.
Our Sources
We prefer to use primary sources when referencing and linking to the sources behind our clinical and statistical claims. We work from the original study or guidance when possible.
That being said, our articles link to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites. Including a link to an external website is not an endorsement of that website.
Content Updates
We check every article for accuracy at the time of publication, and make an effort to revisit articles over time to confirm they still reflect the most current information. Sometimes, research and clinical guidance change, and we may update an article to reflect those changes.
Content Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes. If you find an error in our content, please tell us at [email protected]. We’ll look into the report as quickly as possible and, if we confirm an error in clinical information, will correct it.
Nothing you send us about our content becomes part of any health record. It’s also important to note that our editorial inbox is not a way to reach your care team. If you are a former patient, the loved one of a patient, or interested in becoming a patient, please call us at (470) 227-7574.
How We Use AI
Our writers may use AI tools for research organization, outlining, and editing support. AI tools do not publish anything on this website.
Every article is written by a person, fact-checked by a person against the original sources, and reviewed by a clinician before it goes live. We do not publish AI-generated clinical claims, AI-generated statistics, or citations produced by an AI tool without a writer confirming them against the source material.
Privacy and Resident Stories
We do not use real residents as examples in our content. We do not publish details from anyone’s treatment, and we do not describe a real person’s symptoms or medical history.
Where an article describes what something looks like in practice, the example is composite or illustrative. If we ever publish a testimonial or a resident’s story, it is only after the person has given their written authorization.
Medical Disclaimer
The content on this website is general information about mental health conditions and treatment. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified provider who knows your situation and your history.
Do not start, stop, or change a medication based on anything you read here. Talk with the prescriber who manages your care. The same applies to the coping skills and techniques described in our articles. What helps one person can be a poor fit for another, and some techniques are not appropriate for people experiencing certain conditions.
If you have questions about your health, or about the health of someone close to you, talk with a doctor or a licensed clinician.
No Warranties and Limitation of Liability
We work to keep our content accurate and current, and we provide it as is, without warranties of any kind regarding its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Any decision you make based on our content is your own.
To the extent permitted by law, Red Top Wellness Center, its parent organization, and its staff, including its writers, editors, and clinical reviewers, are not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, information published on this website.
