Joseph Seal, MD

Dr. Seal is a board-certified psychiatrist with 35 years of experience. He graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his psychiatry training at The Ohio State University Hospitals, where he served as Chief Resident. He began his practice as an Air Force psychiatrist and served during Desert Storm.
Following his military service, Dr. Seal began his career with the State of Georgia, specializing in severe and persistent mental illness in an inpatient setting. He has extensive experience treating alcoholism and drug addiction, with a particular focus on dual diagnoses. In addition to his work in residential care, Dr. Seal has also been a Professor of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Georgia for the past 25 years. Teaching medical students while treating patients has always been his passion.
As Medical Director, Dr. Seal brings enthusiasm and expertise to overseeing psychiatric care at Red Top Wellness Center. He lives in northwest Georgia with his wife and their two bulldogs. His daughters also enjoy careers in medicine.
